The details a custom build needs
- 01DimensionsLength and width, and which way the forks go in. A drawing helps if you have one.
- 02LoadThe weight of the load and whether it is spread evenly or concentrated.
- 03HandlingForklift, pallet jack, conveyor or automated storage. Two-way or four-way entry.
- 04StorageFloor stacked, racked, or shipped one way.
- 05ExportIf it crosses a border, solid wood needs ISPM-15 treatment.
Before you go custom
Check the standard sizes first
A custom footprint is harder to replace and harder to sell at the end of its life. If a standard size will do, it is usually cheaper over the life of the pallet. The custom sizing guide walks through the decision.
