Why does distance matter so much on a pallet order?
Because pallets are cheap, bulky freight: a trailer of empty pallets runs out of space long before it reaches its weight limit. Freight can be a large part of the delivered price, which is why the ZIP code matters more than almost anything else in the request. See freight & logistics.
