What ships here

Alaska, in freight terms.

Alaska is a special case in every sense. Almost everything arrives by barge from Tacoma or by air, and almost nothing is manufactured locally, which produces an extreme version of the consumption-market pallet surplus.

That surplus is real and it is a genuine disposal problem. Pallets accumulate at the receiving end with nowhere economical to send them, and the recycling infrastructure that would exist in a mainland city of comparable size mostly does not.

Seafood processing is the dominant industrial packaging requirement, and it is a wash-down environment with strict hygiene rules. That specification conversation is one we can have usefully; supplying the wood is not.

Local economy

Seafood processing, oil and gas, mining and an economy dependent almost entirely on inbound sea and air freight.

What we send there

Hygiene specification for seafood processing; program design. Physical supply is impractical.

Reachable on project freight and through our sourcing network. For routine weekly supply, a yard closer to you will almost certainly beat us on delivered cost, and we will say so.

What is the minimum order into Alaska?

A full trailer, roughly 330 units, for the freight to make sense. Below that, buy locally — you will be better off.

What footprints move most in Alaska?

Can you quote a custom build here?

Yes, anywhere. Custom and engineered work is quoted from a drawing and shipped as project freight, and the distance economics are completely different from routine stock. See custom builds.
