Terms of service.

Two things are covered here: how you may use this website, and the basis on which we quote and trade. Neither is unusual, and both are written plainly on purpose.

SegregationSorted by type, not by convenience. Pooled units go back to the pool; plastic runs a separate stream entirely.

01Using this website

You may read, print and share anything on this site. You may quote from it with attribution. What you may not do is scrape it wholesale to republish as your own content, use it to train a commercial model that competes with us, or attempt to interfere with the site's operation.

The pallet specifications, grading criteria, load ratings and drawings published here are ours. They are published because the industry benefits from public standards, and we would rather they were cited than copied.

02Information accuracy

We put considerable effort into keeping prices, specifications and load ratings current, and we date the pages where it matters. Even so, every price on this site is indicative and every load rating is typical rather than guaranteed for a specific unit.

The binding numbers are the ones in the written quote we send you. If a figure on this site contradicts your quote, the quote governs.

03Quotes

Quotes are valid for 14 days unless the quote itself states otherwise. Lumber, diesel and core markets move, and a quote from six weeks ago is not a price we can hold.

A quote is an offer to supply the specification stated. It is not a guarantee of stock; where availability is uncertain the quote says so on its face.

04Grades and acceptance

Goods are supplied to the grade stated on the quote, defined by our published grading standard. Where you have specified your own standard and we have accepted it in writing, yours governs.

Inspect on arrival. Claims about grade, count or condition must reach us within five business days of delivery, with photographs of the units in question. Within that window we will replace the shortfall or credit it, at your election, without argument.

After five business days we cannot reasonably distinguish a supply issue from handling damage, and claims will be considered on a goodwill basis only.

05Collections and removal

Where we buy pallets from you, price and count are agreed at the point of collection and recorded on a ticket signed by both parties. That ticket is the record.

You confirm that anything you sell us is yours to sell. Pooled and branded pallets belonging to a third-party operator are segregated and returned to that operator rather than purchased, and we will tell you how many we found.

Removal of material with no resale value is charged at the rate quoted. If a load is materially different from what was described — wet where dry was stated, or contaminated — we will contact you before proceeding rather than surprising you with a revised invoice.

06Delivery and title

Delivery dates are our best estimate based on the yard and the lane, not a contractual guarantee. Where a date is critical, say so and we will tell you honestly whether we can commit to it.

Title and risk pass on delivery to the address stated, or on collection from our yard where you are collecting. Title does not pass until payment is received in full.

07Payment

Standard terms are net 30 for account customers and payment before dispatch for new customers, unless agreed otherwise in writing. Where we are paying you for cores, our standard is 15 days from collection, or same-day settlement for one-off clean-outs above 400 units.

08Fitness for purpose

Pallets are structural products used in ways we cannot supervise. Load ratings published on this site and quoted to you are typical values for a uniformly distributed load on a sound unit; they are not a certification for your specific product, racking or handling equipment.

You are responsible for determining that the specification you order is suitable for your application. We will advise, freely and honestly, including when the advice is that you should buy something other than what you asked for — but the determination is yours.

09Liability

Our liability in relation to any order is limited to the value of that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost production, lost sales or third-party claims.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud, and nothing here affects statutory rights that cannot be excluded.

10Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, and the courts of Franklin County, Ohio have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

Before anyone reaches a court, though, email us. In seventeen years of trading we have resolved every dispute we have had by replacing a load or issuing a credit, and we would strongly prefer to keep that record.
