Careers · not in the main menu
We hire people who have never seen a pallet yard, and that works out fine.

Apply, or ask about a role
Use the form — put the role in the Product Type field or just describe yourself in the message. Quantity can be 1. We read everything.
- Written quotes, usually inside one business day
- Loads from 100 pallets to full 53' trailers
- We buy as readily as we sell — tell us which way it flows

Segregation
Sorted by type, not by convenience. Pooled units go back to the pool; plastic runs a separate stream entirely.
Open roles
Five jobs, all of them in Columbus.
Full time · day shift
Pallet grader
The most important job in the building. You will learn to make a four-way decision about a pallet in under three seconds and be right nineteen times in twenty. Takes about eight months to get properly fast. We start everyone on repair first, because you cannot judge a pallet until you have taken a few apart.
What you need No experience needed. Good eyes, a tolerance for standing, and a willingness to be corrected for two months.
Full time · day shift
Repair hand / dismantler
Pry bar, nail gun, recovered lumber rack. Broken members off, full-length replacements on. It is physical work with a genuine craft to it, and it is where most of our graders come from.
What you need No experience needed. Some hand-tool comfort helps.
Full time · regional
CDL driver
Fixed lanes out of Columbus across six states. Home most nights, and every night on the Ohio runs. You will be counting pallets on a dock as often as you are driving, and the customers will know your name.
What you need Class A CDL, clean record, two years experience preferred.
Full time · day shift
Machine operator
Grinder, colour line, screening deck and heat treatment chamber. Includes daily maintenance, which is most of the job — a grinder that is not maintained is a grinder that is not running.
What you need Mechanical aptitude. Equipment training provided.
Full time · day shift
Yard forklift operator
Loading, unloading, staging and keeping the lanes clear. Sounds simple and is not: a well-run yard is entirely a function of whether the staging discipline holds up on a busy Tuesday.
What you need Forklift certification or we will train and certify you.
Honestly
What this job is actually like.
It is physical, it is loud when the grinder is running, and in January the sort deck is cold even under a roof. Anyone who tells you otherwise is recruiting rather than describing.
It is also skilled work that is genuinely difficult to do well, in a place where the person who has been grading for nine years is treated as the expert they are. Median tenure here is a bit over five years, which in this industry is unusual and is the number we are quietly proudest of.
We are a small company. There is no HR department, no talent pipeline and no six-stage interview. You email us, you come and look at the place, and if it suits both sides you start.

Questions
About working here.
Do I need pallet experience?
No, and most of our best people did not have any. The trade is small enough that experienced graders are rare, so we train rather than recruit. Expect two months of having your decisions overruled.
What are the hours?
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a half shift Saturday morning on rotation. Drivers vary by lane but are home most nights and every night on Ohio runs.
Is there a route into other roles?
Most of our graders started on repair; two of our machine operators started on a forklift; the person who runs our scheduling started as a driver. It is a small enough place that moving around is normal rather than a formal programme.
How do I hear back?
By email, within a few days. If we are not hiring for your role we will say so rather than leaving you waiting — the same principle we apply to quotes.
